To be blunt, Melanie is the strangest target Reno had ever come across. The two initially met completely by accident, and due to a random bet (despite Reno winning) led to her staying with him for a few months. A Shinra fugitive, Reno isn’t sure how he exactly feels about her, despite not turning her in as soon as he found out her secret. They're not exactly friends, but they aren't complete enemies, either. The redhead actually finds himself liking her company, and as much as he doesn't want to admit it, doesn't necessarily want to follow through with orders and turn her in.
Once an enemy, throughout a complicated year of trials, Tifa is probably the closest person Reno has to a friend outside of the Turks. She so blatantly uses the term to describe their relationship, but Reno (being as though he has little to no experience with the concept of friendship) is still tentative about using the word even though it's almost obvious. In a way, he almost sees her like a sister. Currently due to an experiment, Reno is in the body of a child and under her care. Together they’re learning to cope with Reno’s past, Tifa’s insecurities, and the smiles they both hide behind.
One of Rikku's friends, Reno's first impression was that he was far too damn cheerful. And trusting, ultimately surprising him when Tidus mentioned wanting to be his friend, a concept still dragged upon murky waters with the Turk. Still essentially acquaintances, it's still yet to be seen whether the two of them could actually become anything near enough to be friends.
The bubbly and hyper little thief, one of the first people he had met outside of Gaia. Her constant cheerfulness annoys him to a degree, but honestly doesn’t mind her company, despite the constant glares and pseudo-death threats he always throws at her. He honestly cannot understand why she bothers with someone such as himself, who could easily end her life without a shred of remorse, figures he'll never understand women--especially not one who is still a teenager. Reno can see how much she keeps bottled up under her smile, but doesn’t say much about it. One half of the Troublemakers.
Another annoying little brat, also from another world that Reno knows not the name of, he and Hope are constantly trying to grate on each other's nerves, sometimes succeeding, others not. Despite the anger that is sometimes present in their banters,Reno doesn’t have any real hatred towards him. It's almost as if there's a slight varying degree of respect for the silver-haired male, though even he's not sure why. Every time either one is turned into an animal by an anon, the other is always there either picking on, or cuddling the other. The other half of the Troublemakers.
Hope’s damn protector. Every encounter Sora and Reno had were when he and Hope had been bickering and Sora comes to Hope’s side, although the Turk hadn't seen hide or hair of the other in quite a while. Not really sure what to think of her, Reno sees her as someone who always wants to pick a fight with him. Reno really doesn't know where the two of them stand.
Fellow Turk and closest female friend. He loves her like he loves Rude and the other Turks, and sees her almost like a sister, despite their constant bickering. He will, however, normally do what she wants in the end, despite how much he complains. She is one of the few that he'll accept physical contact without him initializing it, and will gladly shower her with hugs and annoying instances, whether she wants them or not. He's protective of her, but despite that, he knows she's a Turk and is very well capable of handling herself.
Fellow Turk and undoubtedly his best friend. Reno has the greatest respect and trust for Rude, even above Rufus Shinra, and if it weren’t for him, Reno is sure that he wouldn’t be alive to this day. His relationship with Rude is something that goes beyond friendship, and he’s sure that it goes even beyond that strange concept of ‘love.’ "Turk's don't die. Not alone."
The weird-ass purple-haired lady with the ridiculous laugh. She is probably one of the few that can honestly throw the Turk off guard. He can't really predict what she is going to do next, and for that reason he doesn't trust her at all. But at the same time, she's a complete entertainment to him, amusing in the strangest ways. He's able to taunt and throw insults at her and she brings them right back, something that doesn't often happen. Reno can't decipher what their exact relationship, considering that neither of them consider the term friendship to be given out at whim, but she is someone that he is unwittingly comfortable with.
A butler that was once like those weird grey faces, Vance is the only one outside of the Turks Reno has complete trust in. Initially just drinking buddies, over the course of many months and annoying encounters--and some outright fights--even Reno admits that there is some kind of comradery between them. For reasons unknown even to him, Vance has become an unlikely friend that he would never want to lose, despite the fact they disagree on certain things.
Vance’s wife and ex-AVALANCHE member. Until the day that Vance disappeared to go to war, he and Tifa were still on bad terms, despite Shinra’s downfall and fight with the Remnants. Somehow the two put aside their differences for once and were able to have a (relatively) decent conversation that changed both parties perceptions of the other. He’s doubtful they’ll ever be truly friends, but they aren’t enemies anymore, either.
An ex-TURK, the former partner of Veld, Reno honestly has no idea what to think of the carmine-clad male. He still whole-heartedly agrees with the saying that there is no such thing as an ex-Turk, but gathering bits and pieces of what transpired some thirty (give or take a decade) years before Reno was even born, he found that maybe Vincent is the sole exception. The two haven't really interacted, both keeping to their respective sides of the playing field, but as curious as he is, Reno can't help but wonder about the man that Veld apparently held so dear--not that he would outwardly speak of his curiosity of course.
A slate-haired know-it-all that, although looking human, is anything but. He is the only one to date that has ever gone through Reno's "interrogation" tactics and come out of it alive, albeit becoming unconscious. Met by chance, stumbling into that library of his, the two have a constant game, to see which can better the other: by wit, schemes, or overall prowess. Zexion is a stubborn prat, continuously grating on his nerves, and attacking in his own way.
Loud and hyper, she reminds Reno too much of both Rikku and Yuffie put together. She's abrasive, annoying, and talks far, far too much, even in his opinion. Currently she’s trying to get Reno to buy her an umbrella because he apparently broke hers—even though she’s the one who hit him with it.
A girl that quite literally came out of nowhere, she and Reno met while the latter came onto Gran Pulse through no act of his own. As of now, Reno doesn't know too much of her, except that she is far too bubbly for her own good, instantly reminding him of a few others he had already met. Despite just having met, there's something about her that he knows is off, that she's not entirely the happy-go-lucky person that seems to be. Emotions, after all, could always be used as a mask. He's just going to have to wait and see where this encounter is going to lead.
A traveler that Reno has absolutely no idea how he met. The two tease each other constantly, easily making the redhead think of two other particular people who do the same thing, giving him the impression of giving Noel the other title of brat. Reno doesn't really call the other his name, simply a "brat" will do. Other than that, he doesn't know where he stands with the other, and the two are simply acquaintances as of now. Whether or not that will change anytime soon Reno has no idea.
